Can’t Find Any Disinfecting Products? Make Your Own!

If you’re having a hard time finding disinfecting cleaner in the stores these days, due to the pandemic, here is an easy recipe for making your own. And, the good thing is almost everything you need will likely be found inside your cabinets.



Here’s what you’ll need:

A roll of paper towels

Isopropyl alcohol (91%)

Dawn dish detergent

One essential oil combination (peppermint and tea tree, lemongrass and lavender, lavender and rosemary, geranium and lime, tea tree and orange).

Instructions:

Step 1: Mix the following formula thoroughly:

1/4 cup water

1/2 cup alcohol (for this recipe it must be 91% alcohol)

1/2 tablespoon of Dawn dish soap

10-15 drops of the essential oil combination of your choice

Step 2: Put the mixture in a spray bottle.

Step 3: Spray the mixture onto desired surface and wipe with the towel when needed.
